Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha, Kolhapur was established in 1954 by its founder , the Great educationalist respected Dr. G. D. Alias Bapuji Salunkhe and his few associates. Since its inception the S.S.V.S. Sanstha had been making steady progress in the field of secondary and higher education.
It has spread its educational service in 12 districts of Maharashtra. At present it is running High School 172, 08 Junior College of Education (D.Ed.) , Polytechnic 01, Hostel 19 and other centres 33.
